Guided Fly Fishing in Tennessee and Kentucky

The Clinch, Cumberland and Holston Rivers are all large Tailwaters offering spectacular scenery and great Fly Fishing. Just like fly fishing guides, each river has its own distinct personality and these three are entirely different. The Holston has one of the most prolific Caddis Hatches in the South. The Clinch is a Midge Factory and the Cumberland River is has one of the best Hopper bites you will experience on a Southern Tailwater. I offer guided Drift boat and Jet Boat Trips on all three of these fantastic fisheries. Just click on one of the images above so you can see a little more about each of these spectacular fisheries. If you want to spend a day on any of these rivers please feel free to contact me and we will get you on the water!

The Clinch River, Norris Dam, and the Holston River, Cherokee Dam, are both part of the TVA System of dams. They, as well as forty-seven other dams, were all built as a means of reducing flooding further down the Tennessee Valley and, at the time of construction, offered an excellent source of power production and jobs to a very impoverished Southern Appalachia Region.

The Cumberland River, Wolf Creek Dam, is managed by the Nashville District of the US Army Corpse of Engineers. Wolf Creek is part of a ten dam system who’s waters empty into the Mississippi River. These dams were also built for power production and flood control.

It is due to the cold clear waters that flow from beneath these dams that we have the Rainbow and Brown Trout Fisheries we  have today.  The releases of these dams can make the actual fly fishing part a little tough if you have never fished them. Please feel free to contact me of you have any questions about where or how to fish based on the flows that are being given.

The Links below will take you to the TVA Website so you can see the days predicted outflows for today and tomorrow. New days are added after 4 PM each day
